In praise of concrete, this detached house is a complete refurbishment with rear and

loft extension, locally listed in a conservation area. Inspired by the Lasdun’s National Theatre the new rear extension is built with in situ board marked concrete wrapped in raw core ten steel cladding. The composition of form and materials compliment the original architectural features of the house and accommodate modern family living with an air source heat pump installed.  Another superb collaboration with the builder, specialist concrete engineer David Bennett, and client.
